Mistake 1 Mop a wood floor with water 

Wood can stain or buckle when exposed to excess water.You should always mop with barely-damp cloth.

Mistake 2 Dust with furniture polish

The oil in polish can smear and make fingerprints more prominent.

Mistake 3 Scrub carpet stains

Scrubbing will damage the carpet pile. Use a blotting motion instead.

Mistake 4 Wash windows on a sunny day

Hot sun makes glass cleaner evaporate and streak.
